Our September Brother of the Month is brother Sean Hughes ‘22. Sean joined our chapter his freshman year, and he has strived to make it better since day one. He has been very involved in the recruitment process both as an underclassman and a senior as he cares deeply about the state of the Phi Phi Chapter in the long-term. Sean knows what it means to be a Sigma Chi, and he is serious about admitting only those who can fully appreciate what the brotherhood has to offer. Through his hard work, we’ve taken on great classes of new members, leading to a strengthening of the bond we all work to uphold.

Sean is beloved by all in our fraternity not only for his effort in make it the best it can be, but also for the friendship he offers. He’s a great guy to talk to regardless of the circumstances. Whether it’s 11pm on a Friday, 11am on a Tuesday or the conversation is about something serious or trivial, Sean’s a great presence to be around. Overall, Sean is a great friend, and he makes time for his brothers whenever he can. We will surely miss him when he graduates!

Sean is also admired for his effort and subsequent success in his professional aspirations. He spent this last summer as a Restructuring IB Summer Analyst at Miller Buckfire & Co. and will be returning full-time next summer. Sean is always happy to help his brothers prepare for the recruiting process, and we have really appreciated his advice these last couple of years.
Cheers, Sean! While we are sad to see you go, we are excited for your bright future! In Hoc!
